In April 2007 the Laurel Pub Company introduced a new internet based system of Food ordering into their managed house estate.

Agora Solutions were asked to provide a Training Consultant to write the Training programme for the new solution. On completion Laurel required a further 3 trainers to complete the training in the customers sites.
An assessment questionnaire was also compiled to evaluate the success of the training programme.

The Training programme was completed within one week and presented to the customer. On acceptance the Consultant trained the 3 on-site Trainers to present the programme to the entire outlet Managers within the estate.

A series of presentations were carried out at the customers chosen classroom venues using laptop computers and wireless technology. 15 Managers and their Assistant Managers or Head Chefs were trained at each presentation.

A question and answer session was incorporated into the training package and therefore vital that the Consultant and each Trainer were familiar with the nature of Laurels’ business.

Each Manager was given an individual ‘hands on’ session within the presentation and each questionnaire had to be assessed to ensure each person could then return to site and complete a food order as part of the training process.

Although the lead time prior to commencing the training was only 2 weeks, and the new system was to be live within 6 weeks, Agora Solutions were able to meet the customer’s timescales and the project was completed within the stipulated timescales.

Due to the success of this project Agora Solutions have continued to provide Trainers to Laurel as and when required.
