In 2008 Mitchell’s and Butlers purchased 44 outlets from Whitbread. These outlets were to be closed, refurbished, re-branded and re-opened as part of the Mitchell’s and Butlers estate.

Agora Solutions were approached to provide engineers to de-install the Whitbread EPoS system, and return to a designated warehouse. A project administrator was also required to co-ordinate the de-installations and to check equipment levels de-installed. Although the project was not very big, Whitbread required that is was completed in a highly professional manner due to the sensitivity of the project.

On the morning of the closure engineers provided by Agora Solutions arrived on site to de-install the equipment after the polling of vital financial information the go-ahead was given by Whitbread to commence removal and checking of all hardware on site. The project administrator had to liaise with the EPoS department at Whitbread and also with the engineers on site to achieve this. Reports were compiled on an hourly basis throughout the day of install to ensure up to date information was available to Whitbread at all times.

The EPoS stock was checked, wrapped and returned to Whitbread’s warehouse provider within 48 hours of de-installation
