Much of the experience behind Agora stems from projects within the brewery and leisure trades and covers the design and implementation of wide area networks for EPOS and data capture projects.
The knowledge and skills obtained correlate with a number of retail and leisure requirements and can be equally deployed in variety of other commercial applications, principally where there is direct customer interface for the sale of products and services.

The basic expertise has also been transferred to office environments, where server based networks and intranets provide a vital role in successful business operation.

Agora Solutions Ltd was established by Roger Goldman in 2003. He brings a wealth of IT knowledge gained over the last 20 years, with hands-on experience of establishing and managing IT Help Desk, Field Support Teams, Application Development, Implementation Teams and Business Support.

Management of major deployment projects includes a 3000+ site Cisco Router/NT implementation, incorporating a training element to 6000 staff throughout the UK; a UK based EPOS Rollout to 550 sites, in 5 months; managing the IMACS (Installation, Moves, Additions and Change) process for a hospitality estate of 3000 and a corporate base of 1500, which created over 1000 separate projects a year; managing the IT element of a new HQ building for 400 staff, including CAT6 cabling, Servers, IP phone system and network printing.

Roger has worked with most of the major IT suppliers in the UK, negotiating and managing IT contracts worth in excess of £6m per annum.
